Jodi Sturk is a fourth-grade teacher and has been with the ML-PBL team for over 5 years.
“My favorite part of the ML-PBL curriculum is that it allows for the educator to truly become a facilitator and coach of knowledge and step down as 'sage on the stage.' This type of teaching allows students to take ownership of their learning and creates authentic and equitable experiences through rich discussion, modeling, questioning, and creating. From day one I have seen an increase in student engagement, and I attribute that to the ML-PBL curriculum's ability to allow students different ways to connect and access the curriculum for themselves through shared phenomena, family connections, and social and emotional learning.”
